Donor Supported

Dr. Gray Allison, the founding president of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary wanted to make seminary education as affordable as possible so graduates would not be weighed down with excessive debt from student loans. From the beginning, Dr. Allison asked friends and churches to consider investing in seminary students who were training to take the Gospel all over the world. That message resonated among our friends, alumni, and churches and they began to give. Since that time, our friends and supporters have provided up to 60 percent of our annual operating needs through their gifts.

Our donors will generate between $1.5 and $2.5 million dollars each year. These gifts enable us to keep tuition low, one of the lowest among Southern Baptist seminaries. This allows students training under the Mid-America Global Northeast initiative to gain a seminary education as a greatly reduced cost. And as they graduate and enter the ministry field they are free to pursue any task God has called them to because they will not be burdened with excessive personal debt from student loans. As a student at Mid-America, our donors may not know you personally, but they are investing in you and in the potential you have to expand the kingdom of God here in the Northeast.

Because our focus is on training seminary students in the Bible, evangelism and cross-cultural ministry, our students lead hundreds to Christ each year.  Our graduates are planting churches, strengthening churches by serving the risen Christ locally in the Northeast and abroad.  God has provided miraculously over these many years. Our prayer is still our motto, "…that in all things He might have the preeminence."
