The Master of Arts in Worship degree is a professional graduate degree designed to equip students for service as a worship leader in the local church or on the mission field. The Master of Arts in Worship is a two-year program requiring sixty semester hours of academic credit for graduation.
As with all the academic programs, the Master of Arts in Worship degree is designed to promote growth toward personal maturity and ministry competence in the practice of church-related ministries. Through pursuing this degree program, students learn to interpret the Christian faith in the light of its biblical, theological, and historical dimensions and to utilize insights gained from these disciplines for the effective practice of ministry in the church, the community and the world.
All applicants to any master degree program must be at least 20 years old by the time of their first registration, and must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor degree or equivalent.
In order to graduate while engaged in the Master of Arts in Worship program, each student must satisfy the “General Requirements for Graduation” of the Seminary. In addition, each student seeking the Master of Arts in Worship must complete the sixty semester hours of courses specified in the course listing, including fifty-seven semester hours of required courses and three elective hours.
